District Runner-Ups, Region Runner-Ups,
Eliminated William Byrd in the State Playoffs,
AA State Final Four!

This was taken at Carroll County High before we beat them in the first round of the Region IV Tournament.  Then we had to play Virginia High (Bristol) the very next day at MV.  After beating them, we were state bound!!!!

This was the program's 18the straight year of finishing 1st or 2nd in the district, thus advancing to regionals.  Back in those days you HAD to finish 1st OR 2nd..... all others were not allowed to advance.  We believed it was the longest streak in Virginia at that time, and maybe the longest of all time in the entire state!  Well, that's what we quietly believed.   :)

This 1999 team enjoyed the final year of the streak.
CONGRATS to all the BHS players from 1982 - 1999!  INCREDIBLE JOB!

The victory of William Byrd in the state tournament I believe is the only state vball win ever in the history of the BHS vball program.
