Some Playing Info!!!
Competition began at 8 am on Saturday, February 14, 2009.
The format was similar to national qualifiers with each team guaranteed 7 matches or the equivalent, and all teams playing on all three days of the tournament – no early eliminations.
The event ran in waves. The morning wave began at 8 am; the afternoon wave began at 3:00 pm. Exact starting times for each age group was posted about a week before the tournament began. All teams had to be prepared to play at 8 am on Day 1.
Final matches on most courts were scheduled for 2:00 pm on Monday, February 16.
Playing times for 2nd and 3rd days depended on how the team finished the day before. Teams were asked to not assume you play in the same wave on the second day as you did on first.
All teams played in either Hall C, D or E of the Walter E. Washington D.C. Convention Center in downtown DC at 801 Mount Vernon Place N.W., Washington, D.C.
