Camp Format:
Friday and Saturday, 10:00 am to 12:30pm,
and 1:30pm to 4pm, and
5pm to 7:30pm.
Sunday, 2pm to 4:30pm. Tournament: 5:30pm to 8pm.
Cost: $275
Maximum Campers: 32 for 4 courts
Staff: Four college coaches,
each with an assistant!

T-Shirts! This year all campers will get T-shirts!
Meals And Water Bottles! Meals will be provided each day at the camp. Water bottles need to be brought from home and refilled at the camp each day - for conservation purposes.
End Of Camp Awards:
We hope to give more awards again, like you see here!
Overnight campers:
A camper can pay an additional $25 per day to stay overnight at the Holiday Inn Downtown Lynchburg. We will be providing this service again in 2012.
Coach Kane will ensure chaperones and transportation to and from the hotel.

What was the difference between
High Expectations and Maximum
Expectations.
A High Exp. camper needed to be at least:
* a rising 8th grader, with;
* three seasons of competitive ball.
A Maximum Exp. camper needed to be at least:
* a rising freshman, with;
* five seasons of competitive ball.
(a "season" did not include equal playing time middle school ball, a rec
league, or a summer league.)

Danny Miller
Head Coach,
Averett University
Coach Miller has been the head coach at
Averett
University for 17 years. Miller has led the Cougars to a
430-214 record, going 205-43 in conference play and four NCAA Tournament
appearances. He also has won seven conference tournament titles and nine
regular season crowns. The

Johnathan Willis
Head Coach,
Randolph College
Coach Willis has completed 5 seasons at Randolph College.
This past fall, the team had it's best season in 10 years and
qualified for the ODAC tournament. At Liberty University, his alma mater, Willis served as both
a volunteer assistant for the NCAA Division I women’s volleyball team as
well as the head coach of the Flames men’s volleyball club program. Willis has experience
at the travel club level as well, having served as the head coach of the
Heart of Virginia girl’s 16 and under travel volleyball team for the

Enid
Badillo
Assistant Coach,
Peace
College
Enid Badillo joined the Peace College volleyball coaching staff two
years ago after a five-year stint developing the Raleigh Charter High School
varsity volleyball program. She led the team to the final-four among
North Carolina High School Athletic Association 1A teams two of her last
three years there, losing to the eventual state champ both times. She is
now with NC Elite Vball club after coaching six years Capital City
Volleyball Club (CCVC) in Raleigh. Badillo began her
playing career and love of the game in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. She
continued to compete through her first year of college.

Blair Trail
Head Coach,
Roanoke College
Blair Trail is in her 14th season as the head coach of the Roanoke
volleyball program. Trail, a 1999 graduate of Roanoke College, was a
standout with the Maroon volleyball program, establishing several school
records during her playing days. The longest tenured coach in the
history of the program is also the all-time wins leader, Trail has
compiled an overall record of 231-163. You can contact her at

Ashley Edwards Kemper
Ashley was Danny Miller's assistant at Averett University for three years.
Before that she played four years at Tennessee Wesleyan College, where she
graduated in 2007 with a B.S. in History. Prior to joining the Averett
staff, she worked for Tennessee Wesleyan for a year as the Director of
Annual Giving. She completed her Masters of Education degree at Averett
last summer. She now is living in Nashville with her husband and
son Lucas. She teaches at
Harpeth Hall, and coaches the varsity
volleyball team. You can

Devyn Bayes
Devyn is the head coach of
the American University women's club volleyball team. She graduated from
Ferrum College in 2010, where she made the volleyball team as a walk-on
her freshman year!! She graduated from George Washington High School in
Danville, VA in 2007, where she played volleyball for six years. Devyn
is now in graduate school at American University in Washington DC, and
will graduate this summer. Devyn has assisted with twenty-seven STAR volleyball camps, including
being the rookie camp director at
Chugiak High in Anchorage Alaska in
July of 2009 and at
Timberlake Camp in July 2010. Her email is:

Jordan Hawkins
Jordan is a freshman at James Madison University and is playing on their
club team with former club teammate
Sam Washburn and one of Coach Houser's former players,
Lindsey Campbell.
Jordan is a 2011 graduate of Jefferson Forest High near Lynchburg, Va where her
school team was 28-1 and made the state tournament!
Jordan was a member of Tom Houser's
2009 Region
Champion Junior team that qualified for
Nationals & spent a week in
Miami in June of 2009. Jordan was
named 1st team All-District and 2nd team All-Region III as a soph, 1st
team All-District and 2nd team All-Lynchburg her senior and junior year. You can

Kim Amerell
Kim will a junior next fall at the
University Of Tampa, where she will on
the volleyball team. As a freshman at
Pfeiffer University she was named
Conference Freshman of the Year!
She played high school ball at EC Glass in Lynchburg, where she was named
first-team all-district as a junior and senior. She was named Server of the Week
at the High
Expectations Camp in 2008 and Hitter Of The Week at the
High Expectations Camp
