Camp Format:
Saturday - Check-in for camp begins at 9:30. The sessions are 10:00 am to 12:30pm, 1:30pm to 4pm, and 5pm to 7:30pm
Sunday - 2pm to 4:30pm and 5:30pm to 8pm.
Monday - 10:00 am to 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4pm.
Tournament and Awards: 5pm to 7:30pm.
Parents are invited and encouraged to attend this awesome event!
Cost: $250
Maximum Campers: 32 girls.
Staff: Four college coaches +
four assistants + Coach Houser

T-Shirts! This year all campers will get T-shirts!
Meals And Water Bottles! Meals will be provided each day at the camp. Water bottles need to be brought from home and refilled at the camp each day - for conservation purposes.
End Of Camp Awards:
We hope to give more awesome awards again, like you see here!
Overnight campers:
A camper could pay an additional $35 per day to stay overnight at the Holiday Inn Downtown Lynchburg. We plan on providing this service again in 2013.
Coach Kane will ensure chaperones and transportation to and from the hotel.

High Expectations and College
Expectations.
A High Expectations camper needed to be at least:
* a rising 8th grader, with;
* three seasons of competitive ball.
A College Expectations camper needed to be at least:
* a rising
freshman, with;
* five seasons of competitive ball.
(a "season" did not include equal playing time middle school ball, a rec
league, or a summer league.)

Danny Miller
Head Coach,
Averett University
Coach Miller has been the head coach at
Averett
University for 17 years. Miller has led the Cougars to a
430-214 record, going 205-43 in conference play and four NCAA Tournament
appearances. He also has won seven conference tournament titles and nine
regular season crowns. The

Johnathan Willis
Head Coach,
Randolph College
Coach Willis has completed 5 seasons at Randolph College.
This past fall, the team had it's best season in 10 years and
qualified for the ODAC tournament. At Liberty University, his alma mater, Willis served as both
a volunteer assistant for the NCAA Division I women’s volleyball team as
well as the head coach of the Flames men’s volleyball club program. Willis has served as the head coach of the
Heart of Virginia girl’s 16 and under travel volleyball team for the

Blair Trail
Head Coach,
Roanoke College
Blair Trail is in her 14th season as the head coach of the Roanoke
volleyball program. Trail, a 1999 graduate of Roanoke College, was a
standout with the Maroon volleyball program, establishing several school
records during her playing days. The longest tenured coach in the
history of the program is also the all-time wins leader, Trail has
compiled an overall record of 231-163. You can contact her at

Devyn Bayes
Assistant Coach,
University of Arkansas - Monticello
Devyn just finished her first
season as an assistant coach at the University of Arkansas - Monticello.
Before that, she was the American University women's club volleyball
team, where she graduated last summer with a master's degree in Global
Affairs. She is currently working on a 2nd masters in P.E. And
Coaching. She graduated from
Ferrum
College in 2010, where she made the volleyball team as a walk-on her
freshman year!! Devyn has assisted with thirty-three STAR
volleyball camps, but says she has a new tricks up her sleeve!

Jessica Flanagan
Head Coach, Ferrum College
Jessica Flanagan joined Ferrum athletics staff as Head Volleyball Coach in May of 2012 after serving as the JV coach at Floyd County High School and she was assistant coach for the varsity program. Flanagan was also head coach of the Floyd 18s, a club volleyball program in Floyd County one season. Flanagan was a four-year player for Ferrum's volleyball program, and played softball two years. She earned four straight All-Conference volleyball honors from the USA South Athletic Conference from 2006-09. Flanagan received the 2010 Ferrum College President's Cup. The award is presented annually to the graduating student-athlete who best exhibits excellence in academics, campus and community leadership, and character. Kara Matthews
Kara is the assistant coach at Randolph College, in Lynchburg, Va.
She played on the Lynchburg College volleyball team 4 years as a
DS/Libero, and graduated in 2012 with a sports management major.

Aidan
Guilfoyle
Aidan just finished her
sophomore year at Lafayette University in Eaton Pennsylvania, where she
plays on the vball team! You can see her bio
here. She wasn't able to play this
past season b/c of a knee injury, but is planning on coming back strong
in fall 2013! While in high school at Roanoke Catholic
School, she played 5 years of varsity, 1 year of JV and 7 years of club
ball. She was named first team all-state 3 years, and state player of
the year as a senior.
She was a member of Coach Houser's
2008 15's junior team that was ranked
#1 in the Old Dominion Region, and
his 2009 Region
Champion
team that qualified for Nationals
Miami in June of 2009.

Maribeth Kern
Maribeth is a
freshman at King College in Bristol Tenn
where she just played on the vball team. Her bio can be seen here. She is a 2012 graduate of
James River High in Botetourt County, Va, where she has had a great
volleyball career, making 1st team all-district 3 consecutive years.
Her junior year was unforgettable: District player of the year, 1st team all-state,
and her team was the A state championship. She also played 5

Sarah Sparks
Sarah is a junior at Averett University where she had an all-conference freshman season as a starting middle hitter. She played for Rockingham County HS. She also played for three years under Coach Miller for Caswell Volleyball Club.
Sam Thomas
Sam was the Mills Godwin freshman team coach in the fall of 2012. She has coached one year of JV at Topsail High School, and one year of jrs with the Cape Fear Volleyball Club. She played college vball both at Shenahdoah University and at Cape Fear Community College. She started playing vball in the 8th grade, played 3 years of Juniors (one on Coach Houser's15s team) and 5 years of school ball. She is a 2008 graduate of North Cross School where she played vball two years. She was an assistant coach with Roanoke Juniors in 2007 team, and has assisted with sixteen STAR camps!
