2019 Camp Info:

Camp Format:
9am to 4pm Monday - Wednesday
9am to 1pm on Thursday.

Lunch will be approximately noon to 1pm Mon - Wedn and will maybe be provided by the FCHS cafeteria!

A tournament on Thursday 10:30am - 12:30pm.
Camp awards 12:30 - 1pm

Cost:
$200 for Fort Chiswell athletes
$220 for nonFC athletes

What The Camp Entails:
We will start the camp in separate divisions working on the girls' skills to ensure all the athletes can serve, pass, hit and dig properly. Throughout the camp, setters will get a lot of time working with coaches who specialize in setting. On the 2nd day, competitions will begin which emphasize the skills of the game. On the 3rd day, teams will be created in each division to get ready for the Thursday tournament. For the final few hours on Thursday, athletes and parents wil love watching the tournament!!

Coach Houser is the owner of STAR Volleyball Camps. He is the author of the "I Can't Wait" to coach books, and Drill Collection. He has coached 18 varsity teams, 10 JV teams, 26 club teams and directed 87 camps in 9 states in the past 7 years. You can see more about Coach Houser here.

Sydney Shelton
Sydney played 2 seasons on the Danville Community College Knights volleyball team. Before that she played at Gretna High School for 5 years, where she also was a star on the softball team. Sydney graduated from Marshall University in May with a degree in Public Relations with a concentration in Sports. She has worked 26 STAR camps the last 4 summers. Kelsey Goodman

Kelsey is the assistant volleyball coach at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Va. She is a 2019 graduate of Roanoke College, where she played on the volleyball team all 4 years. Kelsey graduated from Midlothian High in Richmond in 2016, where she played 6 years. She also played 7 years of club volleyball. You can find out more about Kelsey here. Kelsey has worked nearly 40 STAR camps the past 4 summers. Her sister Amy is also playing at Eastern Mennonite University. Bre Lockhart
Bre has finished three seasons on the Randolph Macon College's volleyball team, where the team's record is 75-21, conference champs all three years, and particiapted in the NCAA Tournament each season. She was named as a captain of the team this past fall as a junior! She is a 2016 graduate of Hidden Valley High where she played 6 years of school volleyball and 6 years of club volleyball. She finished her career 6th in VHSL history in career aces with 356. Bre has worked 17 STAR camps the past 4 summers. You can contact Bre at BreLockhart@aol.com!

Elizabeth Giles
Elizabeth just finished her first year at Sewanne University in Tennessee where she got significant playing time as a freshman! She is a 2018 graduate of North Cross School in Roanoke, Va. During both her junior and senior year, she was named 1st team All-Conference, 1st All-Tournament and her team advanced to the state final 4. As a senior, she was 1st team All-State.
