Coach Houser is the owner of STAR Volleyball Camps. He is the author of the "I Can't Wait" to coach books, and Drill Collection. He has coached 18 varsity teams, 10 JV teams, 26 club teams and directed 87 camps in 9 states in the past 7 years. You can see more about Coach Houser here.

Sharon Lochart
Sharon is from Santa Rosa, CA. She flew to Virginia specifically b/c she wanted to work this camp! She is a long-time player & coach. She specializes in helping middle school girls bond and play well as a team. She believes in earning playing time and earning places on the team. She motivates athlets by her knowledge and her smile! Emily Dudley
Emily is a student at the Univ. of Alabama. Emily played 6 years of school ball in the awesome Hidden Valley volleyball program. She also played 6 years of club. She not only takes dozens of hours private lessons each year, but gives privates, and has assisted nearly 200 hours in the past 2 yeas. She's motivational, a leader and has immense knowledge! Abbey Barlow
Abby is a rising sophomore at the University of Lynchburg where she is on the volleyball team. She is a 2021 graduate of Staunton River High where she was a starter for 3 years and team captain for 2 years. She also played club volleyball for 5 years. Erin Saunders
Erin will be a freshman on the volleyball team at Regent University this coming fall. She's a 2023 graduate of Westover Christian in Danville, Va. She has played school ball for seven seasons, 5 seasons of club ball. She has been a starter on the varsity team the past five seasons as an OH. Leah Bouldin
Leah will also be a senior on the Roanoke Home School team this fall! She has played 6 years of school ball, 3 years of club ball. She was the director of Coach Houser's Junior Training Academy in the winter, where she led 5 other coaches working with girls ages 10-13. She attended College Expectations last summer. Mackenzie Ferguson

What The Camp Entails:
We might start the camp in separate divisions working on the girls' skills to ensure all the athletes can serve, pass, hit and dig properly. Throughout the camp, setters will get a lot of time working with coaches who specialize in setting. On the 2nd day, competitions will begin which emphasize the skills of the game. On the 3rd day, teams will be created in each division to get ready for the tournament. For the final few hours of the camp, athletes will be participating in a tournament. We hope that parents will allowed to join us and watch the tournament!!
